Never played Neon Abyss, seems intersting. What makes it good?Thing on a Spring wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 6:11 pmI've recently put about 40 hours into the original Neon Abyss. Really fun rogue-lite twin stick platformer shooter. Pretty perfectly tuned difficulty level too.
Not sure if Arc Raiders really qualifies as an indie game but they carry the spirit. The game industry must hate those devs. They released 10x the game for less than half the price.
You can become OP often and consistently. It's fun to get a quick 20 minute run in here and there. No high stakes and responsive, fun gameplay. The game is hard to fault.regawdless wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 6:20 pmNever played Neon Abyss, seems intersting. Very good game. I never checked out what else the developer created or what his next game will be.
So far I have the bubble wand, the firecrackers, a few keys, and 6 or 7 eggs, which are appearing on a shelf in front of a giant peacock. I also juuuust got the yo yo which is neat.Eneru wrote: Sat Jan 31, 2026 6:55 amVery good game. I never checked out what else the developer created or what his next game will be.
