Both World and The Tavern are opt-in forums. To join them, go to the Usergroups section of your User Control Panel and select to join those groups.

Your UCP will probably have less options than mine, but it should look like this:

Re: Joining World/Tavern forums + General Info
In the UCP, go to board preferences > board display and you can turn the max width option on if you are using a monitor with a high resolution.
And just below that you will see the options for recent topics on the index. You can turn it off, or you can place the recent topics on top of the index or to the side.

Forum additions (so far)
All themes now have a light and dark mode.
User Post Profile Side Selector
Choose what side you want the profiles on. If you are using a theme that is already on the right, I would recommend just leaving the setting as to the right in the options (it will still be on the left though), because it makes things look a bit worse.
Simple Mentions
This one can be a bit flaky and it still needs to added to the BBCode box.
Max-width Switch
UCP > Board preferences > edit display options
Collapse Quote
Auto collapses the quote so it doesn't take up half a page.
