I am pumped for the rumble tomorrow, I have guests every year and I write 1-30 on squares, put them in a cup and we each draw our numbers for the men’s and women’s rumbles. It’s especially hilarious when you get all excited cuz your entry is next and it’s some garbage ass fucking wrestler.

I’ve been doing this for like 7 years now and no one has drawn any of the winning numbers. A few close ones but nope, fucking fail lmao

Backstage Note on AJ Styles’ WWE Future
https://411mania.com/wrestling/backstag ... we-future/
WWE Royal Rumble 2026 is set to feature a major match, as AJ Styles will put his career on the line against Gunther.

With John Cena having just retired, fans are not ready for another veteran to hang up his boots and walk into the sunset, and recent events, such as AJ battling longtime rival Shinsuke Nakamura at Saturday Night’s Main Event and then challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship in an impromptu match on this week’s RAW, have heightened their fears.

Amid this, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that sources backstage are “split” on AJ Styles’ future in WWE.

AJ announced at last year’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event that he would hang up his boots sometime in 2026. However, he did not reveal the exact date or his potential plans to have a retirement tour. With WWE heavily pushing Gunther as the “Career Killer,” fans aren’t optimistic about The Phenomenal One’s chances, especially after Shinsuke Nakamura revealed in a now-deleted post on social media about AJ’s plans to retire at the Royal Rumble.

I’m torn on AJ.

He was on the Undertaker’s podcast the first week of January i believe it was and said his contract is up at the end of 2026, however, there have been reports since last year that his contract is up in February. I find it odd if he were to lie because people can just look it up/would already know because it was reported a while ago so it makes no sense that he would lie when the info is at your fingertips. That makes me think there is a chance he stays.

On the other hand, I don’t think he specifically said “WWE contract” and since WWE and TNA do business together, perhaps he has a TNA contract ready to go and he’s going to finish up there. Reports were also that before he signed his last contract, he was close to going to AEW so who knows if that’s an option as well.

If he really is retiring for good tomorrow….i feel like he was done a bit dirty. I love AJ Styles, I’ve been a fan of his since his early TNA days, I’ll miss him (especially my eyes lololol) and this send off just seems so terribly done….to have a star like that retire at the Rumble….its going to be completely overshadowed by the Rumble itself. Doesn’t seem like a proper way to say goodbye to one of the best wrestlers ever.
