But then FFVII Remake ninja drops out of nowhere so now I'm considering dumping Elden Ring (again). What do I do here ...

There already is an ignore style system, it's called foes.

You can add them in your User Control Panel.

The Killers is on my Echo right now, but that is because my accounting person is streaming it. If I could at this moment, I am feeling big hair 80s right now, but I'm too lazy.

I also changed the date settings so that I could see how long ago the post was as opposed to just seeing today's date. This matches up with the other D-Pad default setting.

For a forum, my bookmark is usually NEW POSTS, so that way I only see threads with new posts in them. However, that doesn't work on this forum. I found that if you book mark the UNREAD POSTS instead, you will be presented with only new posts unread.

In case anyone else happens to browse the same ...
